I spent a couple of hours last night seeking to recover photographs off slides from the mid 1960s. These are all colour slides, which at that time was uncommon. This is an example of a better recovery (pictured) -- which is me on the ocean shore of the remote Beru atoll. All of these slides -- all of them Kodak or Agfa -- have degraded over the years -- in particular, dirt has stuck, colours have faded, and in the case of the Kodak slides, bits of the images have peeled off.
OBSERVATION: The photos are unique. In many cases, they are the only images which exist of certain people.
