Childhood Home

Years ago now, I was fascinated to learn that wife E’s childhood home was still standing. I went to visit it on a mountainside, and took some photos. This detail shows the entrance to her parents' room. One sees a wattle-and-daub dividing wall, a dung washed earthen floor, a thin cross-beam, a corrugated iron roof and walls (one inner wall was wattle-and-daub, for the warmth of the children), and a glass-free window. OBSERVATION: I lived in similar circumstances, during part of my childhood.
