The theologian George Lindbeck wrote in a 1958 essay, 'Reason can show that [religious truths] are not irrational, and that belief in them is not unreasonable.' This is a view which is more suited to a philosopher than a theologian -- yet from a philosophical point of view, this is what I believe my philosophy achieves: it genuinely, solidly makes such a view possible.
OBSERVATION: A lot of theologians cannot see how it
is rationally possible to believe religious truths, or perhaps to put it more broadly, religious narratives.
