Never Done Wrong

There is sometimes a complete denial of sin. Yes, it actually happens. As an example, I met with a mother and her teenage son for counselling. After hearing both sides of their story, I said to her, “You are too controlling.” She said, “I do not accept your accusation. I have always done what is right.” I said, “Have you ever done what is wrong?” She said, “I have never done any wrong. Since the time I left my parents’ home, every step I took was right.” I read her the Bible passage: “There is no one righteous, not even one.” OBSERVATION: This had her attention. However, I never found out how she responded to it. Sin and redemption are the themes of the Bible.
