No Proposals
Elsewhere I have blogged about my late wife's avoidance of decisions in the Church -- I mean making her decisions known. I myself have tended to make my decisions known -- however, I have avoided proposals. In my early ministry, I regularly made proposals. Today I make proposals only if I consider them to be truly pressing -- which is quite rare. Instead, I ask questions, have discussions, present other people's suggestions, and so on. In later ministry, I have gone through most meetings making no proposals -- yet there have been multiple proposals in each meeting.
