My father-in-law, the last time I visited him, brought out two family heirlooms to show me: Khoisan quivers. In the moment, I over-exposed this photo. I noted that this one (pictured) was well used. “Of course,” he said. He tried to open it, but could not. “I opened it once,” he said. "It has poison arrows inside." He said he couldn't imagine how they ever made it. It looked to him like kudu thongs.
OBSERVATION: Prehistoric heirlooms are surely most unusual. This explains something I noted in a previous post: Khoisan features in my wife's face.
