A recently ordained pastor asked me whether Churches were satanic if they didn't preach the whole gospel. I said that, in a sense, no Church preaches the whole gospel -- but they should preach enough of the gospel for people to come to know the Lord. But what to do, to avoid imbalances? I said that the best antidote against that, in my view, is to keep drawing on the spiritual wealth of the whole congregation -- if not other congregations, too -- through the priesthood of believers. That will prevent a lopsided gospel that tends to home in on one group of people or one set of problems or one part of Scripture, and so on.
