I was saying to somebody today that urban ministry is like Columbus' egg -- it is easy if you know how. I think it is above all spiritual know-how. In my estimation, when it comes to an urban Church, the Church's spirituality becomes critical to its success. I have made various observations about it on this blog. I think that suburban Churches and rural Churches can generally be kept going on much less -- the situation in urban Churches is much more critical. OBSERVATION: But I am saying, too, that urban Churches are not to be written off as easily as some would have it.
