Yesterday, I stumbled upon a paragraph in a Church constitution of one of my past Churches. It is simple but vital: "The first item on every agenda [shall be] recommendations concerning the spiritual well-being and future spiritual planning of the Church." OBSERVATION: This, I think, is the practice of the fewest of Churches. In fact, this is why it was written into the constitution of my old Church -- to ensure that it would happen. Spiritual recommendations tend to be an afterthought in meetings -- but of course, many Churches do arrange their priorities to give spiritual things priority.
