I stumbled upon this photo today. In 2003, I was in a nasty crash in which I wrote off my three-wheel pickup. After getting stitched up in hospital, I took to my bed, suffering concussion among other things, and found it difficult to get up. The tenth day after the accident (pictured), I was to conduct a wedding. I thought I could do it, but would I not frighten the congregation? I decided to do it -- and apologised for my looks. OBSERVATION: I still feel the accident every day: in particular, nerves rearranged in my face, tendons detached in one foot, and bones splintered in my neck.
