Tsunami Warning Device

The magnetometer I recently designed has many potential uses. One of the more unusual possibilities is as a personal tsunami warning device. This is based on its detection of magnetic fields in the water -- and on the assumption (not always the case) that water retreats from a shoreline before a tsunami. Tsunami warning systems at the moment have significant shortcomings. With my device, one could snooze on any beach with peace of heart -- almost. OBSERVATION: Another potential use is finding needles in strawberries.
