I have a plot in a country village -- of which about two-thirds is a flood plain. I have called it the "village sink". Nonetheless, this makes it a very interesting and beautiful plot. Among other things, it has one perennial river, and up to four seasonal rivers, of which this is the biggest (pictured). OBSERVATION: We experienced a worst case a few years ago, when water rose about three metres / yards higher than this river bed. It was the highest in living memory for the villagers -- apparently caused by dam bursts.
