Enduring Covenant

We discovered something interesting, during my city ministry, when we needed some detail from the Church's original building plans. The founding members of the Church, being determined that their covenant with God (the core of the constitution) should never change or be destroyed, filed this with the city Deeds Office. This is unusual -- Churches don't do that. Not only this, but they wrote their covenant onto the building plans -- a big sheet rolled up as a scroll -- and filed this, too, with the Deeds Office. All of it is still on file today, more than 120 years later. Here is a copy of a sheet from the Deeds Office. This particular sheet covers faith, government, and membership of the Church. You may click on it to enlarge.
