Food Shortages

Yesterday, in wife E's home town, crowds turned out in contravention of the nationwide lockdown, to protest a shortage of food. The next day (today), the president announced a relaxation of the lockdown outside of major urban centres. A relative took this video. Although it is tiny, it will give an impression. Elsewhere on this blog, I have recorded food shortages in general.

POSTSCRIPT: This situation quickly deteriorated in the town, with the mayor seeking refuge in the police station. There are no reports of it, because the press, too, are grounded. There is some insight into that at The Daily Maverick.
