Husband as Lord

I attended a wedding where the pastor said to the bride, "The Bible says the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the Church. How do you speak to Christ? You close your eyes, and you say, My Lord! Therefore when you speak to your husband, you will close your eyes, and say, My Lord!" OBSERVATION: This might seem awfully old-fashioned to some, yet it is common in parts of South Africa. Outside of progressive city circles, our society is very conservative.
