New Geneva Translation

In my student days, I had the privilege of having Andreas and Esther Symank as "house parents". I stumbled upon this photo last week, taken in the 1990s. He was a precise and careful thinker, which undoubtedly influenced us as students. He later became the publisher of the German New Geneva Translation of the Bible (NGÜ). OBSERVATION: I think one calls it a dynamic equivalence translation (in German, kommunikativ).
