Suicide (More) Common?

Looking back over my ministr(ies), I think that suicide and assisted suicide were far more common than it seemed to me at the time. Things fall into place in time. Here's an example of what I think was a suicide and assisted suicide, although I don't know. A man was terminally ill, and confined to his bed, in a clinic. He died, unexpectedly, and a bottle of morphine was missing. The bottle was kept in his room, because he needed it. OBSERVATION: If I put together various unusual events that I have witnessed, I suspect it is something which is fairly common.
