Invention 28: Aerodynamic Arrow
There is special interest in my proposed designs here. I was surprised that I could not find this one on the Internet: an arrow with slivers of aerodynamic wings or other aerodynamic features beyond those which are standard today. At the moment (above), one has the classic arrow head, shaft, fletching, and nock, and the arrow follows a parabolic path when released. An aerodynamic arrow would surely follow a different flight path, with increased range. The aerodynamics need not only be on the outside -- they could also be on the inside -- and there are possibilities besides. OBSERVATION: Perhaps this idea is 400 years late. Perhaps not.
