In 1993, South Africa experienced something very similar to the storming of the Capitol in Washington DC. It was the
Storming of the World Trade Centre (pictured). There was one big difference. Those responsible were immediately exonerated. In the USA, where one extremist regime transitions to another extremist regime (I say that on the basis of my linguistic training) they are hunting them down across the land, even talking of treason, which could mean capital punishment.
OBSERVATION: Not that South African laxity doesn't have its downsides.
