Every time I see one of my articles pirated on the Internet, I snatch it and put it on my computer -- I know it is bound to be erased for piracy. Many of my articles require payment -- as if I will pay for my own material. Here is one, a (powered) omni-directional pendulum.
OBSERVATION: I could have been the first to do this. It is one thing to make a pendulum swing through a single plane -- quite another to make it swing randomly in every direction -- and indefinitely. I designed an all-electronic version and an electro-mechanical version. This led to my Jumping Spider. As with the pendulum, one needed an electromagnet which would repel and attract a magnet, yet completely release it. The Chinese untethered it, and gave it solar power.
