Stolen Treasure

Over on Twitter, I wrote about the heist of my philosophical (and personal) notebooks. This post is about the seizure of my tape recordings. Some years back, I had meetings with authorities, which were revelatory. I wrote to them, I got you on tape (in a manner of speaking, because it was on silicon). Next thing, my tapes were seized -- a large stash. I took this and other photos afterwards -- the raiders dropped just a few tapes. What they took was my late wife's research. Worse. It was interviews with missionaries in Africa at the end of the colonial era. The raiders destroyed priceless history. OBSERVATION: The recordings were  unique, too, because missionaries had not spoken about it before, due to the trauma. This was Mennonite missionaries. You do that, because one tape had your voice on it.
