Rising Sea Level

I visited this island in the Pacific, Maiana, in 2003. At the time, the crowns of many trees were yellowed, which indicated salt water rising in the water table.  I had a look at the island today on Google Maps. The British colonists had coconut plantations, where coconut trees were planted in rows. Now, 19 years later, one sees that large swathes of these plantations are dead, killed off by rising salt water.
