Deathbed Repentance

I was called to a man's deathbed. He had said to his wife: "Please, ask them to forgive me! Go! Ask them to forgive me!" She said who? What for? But he was past remembering names -- he was too close to death. By the time I arrived, he was unable to speak. I said to him: "You don't need to apologise to them. Apologise to God." A peace came over him, and we felt that he had heard me, and responded. OBSERVATION: If there is repentance at the eleventh hour, as Jesus said, this may have been the eleventh hour and 59 minutes.
