A World Record
When my metaphysics was accepted for publication, I did feel that I had put in a "superhuman" effort. Now, a year later, I reveal that my book surpassed, by 42.6%, the last Guinness world record for manuscript rejections—specifically, rejections before acceptance. My book had 231 rejections vs. world record holder Dick Wimmer's 162 (pictured). While someone out there may have had more rejections, it seems that none has presented proof of that many rejections—yet. OBSERVATION: The bar is very high,
for acceptance of a metaphysics, so that rejections do not reflect much
on the calibre of the work. By the time a publisher accepts a
metaphysics, it has to be an exceptional book. In this case, the book
itself reveals the vast complexity of getting it to production. Three
months after publication, it has mostly had five-star reviews.
